wouldn't the doctors and judge's word kinda void the family's? hospitals are already over extending themselves. no need to keep someone who is never going to wake up and be a productive member of society hooked up to a machine just taking up space when someone else could benefit from extra attention from the medical staff.
that's the gray area in healthcare, i think the court gives the family x amount of time to ~rebuttal~ the hospitals case and then if the judge feels the family is just a bunch of reres, he/she can rule that life support be unplugged. but the family can also transport her between hospitals, so another hospital might essentially accept the dead body and keep her hooked up until they kick her out.
